Python Software Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, test and document new web-based and back-office applications for the FinTech industry
• Create prototypes and POCs demonstrating the feasibility of proposed solutions
• Use existing tools and/or create new for building, testing, deploying and maintaining code under CI/CD philosophy
• Work closely with DevOps and assist in system integrations
• Provide guidance and share know-how with colleagues on project-related matters

Requirements:

• BSc/MSc degree in computer science with 3-5+ years of working experience
• Excellent knowledge of OOP and software design fundamentals
• Proven experience of Python programming language and Django frameworks
• Good knowledge of Java programming language and J2EE
• Good knowledge of HTML5 and Javascript. Previous experience with SPA frameworks (Angular/React.js/Vue.js)
• Good knowledge of Relational Databases (e.g.: Oracle, PostgreSQL)
• Experience in developing Web Services (REST API and/or SOAP)
• Experience with Git source control and IDEs (IntelliJ, JDeveloper, Eclipse, etc)
• Software design skills, good knowledge of UML
• Maintain clear and effective communication with the team (verbal and written) in both Greek and English language

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with Linux OS, Apache web server
• Experience with XML, XSD and XSL transformations
• Scripting in bash and/or Node.js is a strong plus
• Apache/Nginx and Weblogic/Tomcat/JBoss or other Java application servers
